How fragile we are
So fragile we are, we just don’t show it
Early high school music. Nostalgic for the old music, but not for the old days.
I’d be smiling and chatting away, and my mind would be floating around somewhere else, like a balloon with a broken string.

I finished reading The Kite Runner a few nights ago, and I watched the movie to compare. The movie remarkably follows the story line in the book, so I wasn’t disappointed. I remember watching this movie when it first came out and I cried. :( The movie and book are emotionally loaded, and that’s what I love about them! I also loved the ideas of forgiveness and sin in the book. It’s so sad to see how Amir viewed his friendship with Hassan differently than what you’d expect from the protagonist, but that’s an obvious character flaw he works on in the book. Ahhh so much tragedy. Now, to reading my second book of the summer! (Diary: A Novel by Chuck Palahniuk)
I tell you all the time

Only worth living if somebody is loving you.
The Bourne Legacy!
I have never seen a trailer for this movie, and I didn’t even realize there was another Bourne movie coming out until I was randomly on Wiki. Ahh! Jeremy Renner/Hawkeye & Edward Norton/The Hulk/the most amazing guy in Fight Club… I’m excited. :D This will be the summer of movies!
- Men in Black III
- The Dark Knight Rises
- The Amazing Spider-Man
And yes, I can’t sleep. It’s 5:45 AM, and I now have a runny nose in addition to the voice at such a high frequency that only dogs can hear.
I went to the library today with my little sister and we checked out a few books…Yup, we have a few favorite authors. We got a total of 8 books. (2 of which are by Chuck Palahniuk, 3 by Jodi Picoult, 2 by Amy Tan, 1 by Audrey Niffenegger, and 1 by an author I’m too ashamed to admit I read. Yessssss.) Currently reading: The Kite Runner by Khaled HosseiniIt took me awhile to read this book, but I finally have the time to sit down and relax, be a total bum, and save my remaining sanity. Yay.
But most of all, stop thinking that what people so loathingly refer to as the “friendzone” is some sort of purgatory women put “nice guys” into. My friendship is not a crappy consolation prize that you’re left with if I deny you a sexual relationship– and my body is not your reward for good behavior.
